A pregnant woman and her children were involved in a fatal accident said to have been caused by a reckless tipper driver in Anambra. 

According to reports, the tipper ran into the woman and her four children on a motorcycle on Thursday, 24th January 2019, along Igwe Orizu road in Nnewi, Anambra state and crushed them to death.

Two of the children were reportedly killed while the other two are said to be battling for their lives at the hospital. 

It was gathered that the tipper driver fled the scene immediately after the fatal accident. 

According to Rev'd Festus E. Chukwudiegwu, when a tipper driver kills someone, their Union will go to the police, settle the issue and then give the bereaved family 200,000 for the deceased and the next day, the vehicle is taken to work again by the same driver.

Residents are calling on the state government to do something about tipper drivers and enforce strict punishments for defaulters.

Tipper drivers in Anambra are known for their reckless driving and their boasting about how many people they have ran over.
The Reverend is right. It's a common knowledge here, unfortunately obiano will prefer the money he gets from them than doing anything.
They do daily contribution of 1000 everyday so that they can settle their way once they kill somebody.
We need someone like Peter Obi in Anambra again. Obiano is a write-off.

before I opened the thread I knew it had to be Anambra State. the recklessness of tanker drivers in anambra is beyond human comprehension. was knocked down by a truck back in 2015, the driver also fled.




Obiano really needs to checkmate tanker operation in anambra, they kill the innocent with reckless abandon.
