I was gladly expecting the Germans to school the rest of the world on football but they too, were wasteful and shambolic in extraordinary ways. I was beyond disappointed by those performances.

Portugal was no team at all, they only boast of CR7, which is their biggest threat to any opposition. Crashing out to Uruguay is very bad given the organisation and composure of the South Americans.

France for the first time in this edition of the WC proved themselves when they tore Argentina to shredded pieces. They can progress if they have more to show as well against a very resolute Uruguay side.

After watching Japan pushed Belgium with their speed and techniques, and Aunty Courtois not reacting properly to shots, I have resolved not to support them any further.

Lol...I thought I was beyond that too. I just found them dropping. Thank God I was alone. Would have been embarrassing. Lol

But that's football for you. So unpredictable and full of suprises. Some days are like that for some teams.

That's the sad and unfortunate truth. CR7 is the only one in Portugal national team. I see his frustration at his team mates during matches. The whole weight is on him. And what exactly can only one man do? I was really just barely hanging on to hope when they were pitched with that formidable team: Uruguay.

I'm seriously rooting for France. I hope they progress to the sem-final & win eventually.

Japan really pressed Belgium. I was really sad when they left. Such determination shoulda be rewarded. They were both great teams anyway.
