Help me choose between a 2010 camry and 2010 corolla. Ruggedness , reliability, parts availability/cost and perhaps fuel economy

2010 corolla.
Get the sports if you can afford it.
Goes for 2.8m for very clean toks.

You won't see any clean Lexus ES350 or IS250 for 2m range. Up your cash to 2.7m
I've literally seen a 2006 IS250 with just rear damage sold on IAA for $1400. Last week.

Anyway, a 2004 ES330 is probably the best option.

A little conviction with argument will do. In particular, sports things are exceptionally low....

over the is250 2006?

what year of the ES350 fall with the 2mill price range
The IS250 is a small beautiful luxury car. If u don't like crampy interiros u won't like it. And it's a sheep in wolf clothing. What I mean by that is that it looks like a really capable sports car but it's not as fast as it looks. That doesn't make it a bad car, still got the Lexus luxury soft leather and other features and RWD gives it better handling. But if u like more spacious cabin then the es330 might be what u need. Not as aggressive as the IS but very comfortable, in fact too comfortable u might fall asleep driving it.

More often than not, there are hidden mechanical damages especially those sold by dealers.

I even feel some of them deliberately introduce minor damages for obvious reasons.

More upscale, more reliable, better built, rides better, better in looks and overall its a Lexus. The badge speaks volume.

For the badge, I agree. But seems Venza looks better than RX 350 both interior and exterior.

Never! Interior Wise, Lexus has better materials, better leather. Neater fit and finish. Exterior, the Lexus is better. Go thru the gaps with a micrometer gauge, you'd notice its got smaller spaces and also the headlamps are better designed and when you get the HID types, they're AFS. The rear is high quality CLEAR LENS with LED Tail lamp. The swept body design profile is meant to keep the RX More streamlined.

The Lexus was designed by engineers and highly technical craftsmen.

If she's a lady then i can understand, they just love the venza. 2009 vensa doesn't even have memory seats and has too many plastics inside. Also headlamps are halogens. Though design wise a bit better than 2009 RX 350 but that's because that model year of the rx looks a bit outdated since it was the last year for the design that was sold since 2003. But even with that, interior, attention to details and quality of materials used the RX boss over the venza. And go just 1 yr further to the 2010 RX then even a 2015 venza cannot match it.

They are much better but I'll be very careful buying one with just rear damage at that price even if sold by insurance.

I'll be 25 this year. no family now or in the nearest future and I'm 5'7 so I think I won't mind the crampy nature of the vehicle. Plus I'm not a speed devil

the ES 330 ,I don't like it

I'll like if you can recommend other capable vehicles within the 2million price range , pls exclude any type of corolla

the vehicle has no issue whatsoever but when you start hearing jingle bells from the wheels have it check to avoid wheel failure (should dance).

Why do vehicles get stranded during rain.
While heading home from work today, I noticed a lot of vehicles parked and I have always wondered why.

visibility issues. most can't see well during rain and some prefer to wait so less visible drivers don't bash them from behind.

Okay.
I used to think it has to do with mechanical issues.

Also mechanical issues, in cases of flooding. Your engine could get hydrolocked.

Thanks for the clarification.

From my experience a very good car at unbelievable price. More value for ur bucks than a Highlander of same generation and way cheaper. I used mine for 1 and half year, no problems at all except when a mouse ate the wires of my knock sensor which I replaced for around 6k with labor. It's better to get the EXL with RES model for added luxury. 4wd with 3rd row seat. U can't go wrong with this if u have a big family and very ideal for long distance journey. Fuel economy is not very good in city driving but does well for long distance.

Electrical issues. The rains bring up issues that ordinarily wouldn't manifest.
Some also have defective wipers.
I know a friends car that wouldn't accelerate past 20 km/hr anytime it rains and its a manual for that matter.
He sold off the car before we could even figure out the problem during the dry season. grin
