Abi o. Where were these NBA lawyers when Justice Ayo Salami was forced out by Jonathan?

Fact is the country is suffering from recession caused by the drop in the rate at which crude oil sells which is at $50. We didn't manage to save enough when a barrel of oil was selling at $110 under Pdp regime, hence the mess we found ourselves. Heck, if our foreign reserve wasn't looted from $48b to $26b by Jonathan, we wouldn't be here.

If this sweeping recession could affect a developed country such as Canada, what stopped it from affecting a developing country as Nigeria whose past government looted it dry yet some insane Nigerians are bent on supporting these corrupt folks that plunged us into this mess. Whichever way you look at it, fact is this admnistration is earning 60% less than the previous regime yet has done much more than the past regime. Look at our new railway lines, cheap fertilizer production, rice mills, investing in Dangote refineries, construction of Aba-ENugu-Onitsha roads, Lago-Ibadan roads, increasing our powergrids from 2500-7000 (although only 5000 can be transmitted right now due to poor transmission network), payment of all federal pensioneers, increase of our foreign reserve from $26b to $43b and social programs such as Npower, trademoni etc

If d looting Pdp had done 1/3 of these while earning 60% more as a result of large revenues got from oil selling at high rate of $110 for 16years, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Falana speaks cowardly sometimes.
One minute he condemns the suspension of the CJN, the next minute he’s supports the FG unlawful actions.

Nobody is saying the man is innocent or not corrupt. Just follow due process.
Read again, he is telling his colleagues the truth, which are the people he us closest to, we already know where Falana stand, he detest the action of the executive

Non declaration of assets that Tinubu and Saraki scaled through is what Onnoghen is being replaced from office for on the alter of APC intention to subvert the people's mandate in the forth coming election.

Get sense. Don't let your blind and pliable support for Atiku cloud your reasoning.

What Falana is saying is simple and that's what every sensible person must toe too. And that's the fact that Buhari was wrong not to have followed due process. But the CJN on his part ought to have resigned upon admitting the allegation and not to have postponed the NJC meeting indefinitely.

Both Parties were wrong. And note that if the CJN had resign honourably, Buhari won't have been forced to circumvent due process.

Re: Onnoghen: Falana Accuses NBA Of Playing Double Standard by boxypane: 7:22pm On Jan 29, 2019
In China, the CJN would have been executed publicly.
In Japan, the CJN would have committed suicide.
In Europe, the CJN would have resigned.
In the US, the CJN would be facing a congressional hearing, and possibly be facing 20-year jail time.
In South Africa, his houses would have been vandalized and set on fire and he would be in protective custody so he is not killed by protesters and rioters.
In the Scandinavian countries, the CJN would not have acquired ill gotten wealth.
But in Nigeria, the CJN is celebrated. SANs rally round him to fight for him and protect him.
The common man goes on Social Media to fight in support of him.
His kinsmen hail him and offer him chieftaincy titles.
His religious brethren pray and fast for him to overcome his enemies.
His family will ask if why he's being victimised.
His bankers are devising ways to move his loot around.
What a country!

NOPE!

SENATE will amend the law ASAP to avoid a re-occurence in the future.

if they don't, then you know exactly what you should be fighting for or against.

Wallade:
Let me educate you a little, the constitution of the FRN has no provision for "suspension" of CJN, however it has provision for removal which must actively involve the NJC; the highest judiciary body must review whatever petition against any Judge, including CJN, and recommend the removal as the case may be.

Also, the National Assembly is actively involved in the appointment of CJN based on the constitution. They have to approve the person recommended to the President by NJC upon a communique from the president to the national assembly of the intention of the Presidency to apoint the CJN.

These various processes were violated by the presidency and such violations are impeachable offences against the president, just in case you don't know.

You can download a copy of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for more information.
i knew all that before now

l am wondering how comfortable it is for you to be speaking from two sides of your mouth.
When he does your bidding he is the best , but when he says the truth you call him names.

This is the reason why I personally don't like democratic politics it breeds too many hypocrites.

There was truly an invasion once, we pretended it didn't matter much.
This second time, it started from the Rooftop.
There is Hooliganism in our Democracy. And if allowed to fester and not corrected now, a third invasion will be catastrophic lowering of our education and value system and into Feudalism straigth.
The Judiciary should please put their houses in order once and for all now and jealously guard and guide their Tier Independence.
Nothing can be too late to correct.

so what if after the amendment, the president still goes ahead to disobey it. what happens. lets fight against disobedience not amendment

if u understand me. its not about amending the law. the law is already there to protect the judiciary, its about obeying it. we should fight against the disobedience and not about amendment. there is nothing to amend there, the law is very clear, lets fight for them to obey it.
if not even after ur purported amendment. the new law will still be disobeyed and we will return to the same circle while the world is leaving us behind.

or u mean after u have used it to cheat, violate and get rid of ur assumed enemy, u now want to amend it so that it wouldnt be used against u in future. lets be FAIR

how can u force someone to resign. i thought resignation suppose to be "willingly"
btw, the law says that once u admit owning the property u forgot to declare u can no longer be prosecuted. Humans do forget, don't they?

the CJN and the judiciary are the victims here

but u also know that there is no law for SUSPENSION either
there is nothing like suspension in the constitution, so why did u now invent it
the constitution framers know there shouldnt be anything like that, as in having two CJNs . its abnormal (one substantive and one acting)

all the yoruba people that have come to defend this illegality on television always end up either looking stupid or stammering up and down when asked logical questions. try and watch channels MORNING RISE

was the money stolen? NO

he didnt declare it earlier because he said he wasnt sure if the account was opened then. he later declared it when he was sure it has been opened
u are now using the date of when it was opened and the time he declared against him. thats witch hunting, also remember that the law said u cant prosecute such a case
also remember that the president doesnt like his face from inception. thats not how to run democracy
