Interesting how someone who was born in Cambridge, went to school entirely in England and has never lived in Nigeria (perhaps not even visited) suddenly becomes “Nigerian” and (the factually-incorrect) “Nigerian-born” when she falls afoul of the law - and sadly with the apparent validation of self-hating low-esteemed Nairalanders. Yes ooh! The one that used the official letter headed paper to try an influence the judge, not to send her son to jail for dealing drugs. These Nigerians continue to embarrass us. If they know that that corruption is still in their blood , they should detest from taking up public posts biko. I feel so ashamed just opening the page on the train. Dammm!! she is going to loose all that just for what? 60 quid fine and maybe 2 point on her licence, All she had to do was pay the fine and Apologise like they all do.when they commit crime. and that's it.

Of course, she is Nigerian (as well as British), even if she did not supposedly “mingle” with Nigerians, by sheer fact of her origins, just like MP Chuka Umunna, Anthony Joshua, Dele Alli, et. al. Point however is that the Nigerian aspect is only raised or stressed in negative circumstances - but perhaps that is too subtle for some folks. SMH

That is debatable and you know it. Maybe its just the Niggerian mentality of always wanting to identify with 'their own' when they are successful then discard them when things go south.
