I'm reviewing prices for Samung phones.

Ok, Since you decided to mention Mikkys rate I'll tell you why his price is high. The price went high when his shipping company lost people's items, at that time I think he wasn't paying insurance for the goods or probably low insurance. After the incident, he increased the price and it makes sense, to cover for any futuristic occurrence. When he introduced his 2 days shipping, he didn't increase price even though I know he must have added extra to what he was paying before, but trust me it's definitely because the shipping fee people are paying can also cover for the express shipping.

Now back to you, I'm not in the US but I know a few things about shipping of items. Why are you reviewing the shipping cost of Samsung phones? Do you get charged by brand or weight/LBS? Also, if X/Xr/Xs/Xs Max can go for a flat rate of $40, I feel 7/8/7+/8+ should be flat too.

If it's not 2-days shipping, it can never be 2 days shipping grin

Now back to you too grin Some airlines charge by weight and some charge by what you are shipping.

When I was doing $10/phone irrespective of the phone, I dont pay insurance and techprodigy, innocent, Benards can bear me witness. I have paid them damages before(full payment). I have paid nothing less than N1,000,000 out of pocket for either missing items or damaged items. So I started paying insurance. I was not declaring the true value of the items yet I was paying insurance out of pocket until when I decided if I'm not making money on shipping, I wont be losing.

Back to weight/lbs. Like I said, for example, if you want to cargo human remains(dead body), airline wont put human remains on a scale and say "hey, it weigh 100lbs" . There is a charge for that.

Case 2. If you are transporting radioactive elements, there are fixed charges for that and they are weigh less than 2lbs.

Now coming to laptops and cell phones which you all normally buy, it contains lithium ion battery ( UN3481) which is classified as dangerous goods and all dangerous goods requires special handling. It is suppose to go on CARGO AIRCRAFT ONLY(CAO) . A freighter is used for transporting normal shipment which takes days to arrives.

Now for 2 days shipping, A passenger flight is used to convey shipment. If your flight from Chicago to Lagos is 16hrs journey, your package will arrive the same time you are stepping out of the aircraft. If you are making use of this shipment option, if you have 20 laptops and battery rating is 4400mAh, you have to declare every single bit of what you are airlifting for proper documentation because dangerous goods put peoples lives at risk and you need to know "indetails" what you are putting on their flight hence the reason it's very expensive. You still have to do insurance, it requires special packaging(all laptops packed in one box, cell phones in other boxes etc)

The truth is there is no 2 days shipping from Chicago to Lagos. There will be but some shippers here dont want to go through the stress. So Mikky charging you 50$ for Xs Max didnt come from nowhere. I was just trying to be considerable by not charging more then 40$ but I guess I'll review prices again to reflect the normal 50$ I wanted to charge for Xs Max.
