President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his association with Gov. of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has not in any way affected his anti corruption war.

He insisted that he was shielding anybody saying it was sheer mischief for anybody to suggest that he doing so based on his closeness to an individual.

Buhari’s position was made known in a statement by the Presidency no Thursday, which maintained that there is a difference between perception and reality.

The statement was in reaction to comments trailing the announcement of Ganduje as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, by President Buhari, at a rally in Kano.

It pointed to the prosecution of senior government officials, such as a former Secretary to the Government and a former state governor who is a member of the APC, currently serving jail term as proof of the will and determination of Mr. President to prosecute the anti-corruption war irrespective of who is involved.

It further noted that the Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Prof. Usman Yusuf, is currently on administrative leave as part of President Buhari’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

According to the statement, no official under the present administration will go unpunished once found to have broken the law.

The fact is there’s nothing Buhari can do about Ganduje who has immunity. And he cannot afford to be at loggerheads with the governor of the most populous state during this election.

My take is that Gandollar will have his days in court after expiration of his immunity. That’s exactly what happened in the case of Fayose who could not be touched until after he left office.

You cannot help but think about what the future holds for this country.

We have a President who claims to be fighting corruption tooth and nail but holding hands with a publicized theif running for second term and a strong opposition in a former Vice President who is a world-renowned theif. Wahala everywhere.

HAPPY NEW MONTH, NIGERIANS...!

Welcome To The Month Of FailBuhari... The month we were waiting for.

Let's keep aside our tribal, religious and political differences for once and answer the call of patriotism.

Let's perform this national assignment of VOTING OUT BUHARI on the 16th at least for posterity sake...

By VOTING OUT BUHARI, you are voting out NEPOTISM... (Buhari has quietly turned Nigeria to his family business)- https://www.nairaland.com/4898295/opinion-proof-buhari-made-nigeria?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C5020878894.

By VOTING OUT BUHARI, you are voting out INCOMPETENCE... (It took Buhari a full six months to assemble his ministers, yet there's no economist in his cabinet - no wonder Nigerian economy has fallen from No. 1 fastest growing economy in Africa under GEJ to No. 41 right now under Buhari).

By VOTING OUT BUHARI, you are voting out POVERTY... (Nigeria is officially the world headquarter of Poverty under Buhari because our economy isn't growing, yet The dullard and his team are clueless. Even his highly learned VP believes that fighting poverty with unproductive schemes like Tradermoni and school feeding will grow our economy - an idea seen by economic experts as putting the cart before the horse. Our Economy cannot grow if we fight Poverty, but Poverty can reduce if we grow our economy).

By VOTING OUT BUHARI, you are voting out LIFELESSNESS... (It is no longer news that Buhari is unhealthy, not lively, and not physically and mentally fit to be a Local government chairman, let alone a president of a big country like Nigeria. He spent the first 2 and a half years of his tenure doing health tourism, only to stop when election came close. From the way he is stumbling and fumbling at campaign grounds, it is obvious he'll begin his health tourism again after this election).

By VOTING OUT BUHARI, you are Voting out a cabal of TWO POWERFUL MEN... (You don't know Buhari or what happens in Buhari's government more than his dear Wife. For his wife to tell you that two powerful men are controlling his government, you should know that a vote for buhari is a vote for those unknown powerful men).

There are many more reasons to VOTE OUT BUHARI... Add your own reason(s) below if you have the facts.

Once again, HAPPY NEW MONTH to you all!

Meanwhile same Magu is yet to make public his findings on the forensic analysis of the Ganduje dollar bribe videos when he went to the UK.

While he has immunity from prosecution, he doesn't have immunity from investigation. You're right to the extent that Fayose was not prosecuted until he left office but he was investigated.
Remember the EFCC placing him under security watch while he was still governor, remember the several comments by the EFCC against him while he was still governor.

U may not know, investigation is ongoing about Gandollar.APC needs his votes now, he will face the law of land later. Don't use that one as political tool to tarnish Buhari.

Shut up fast! Mr intergrity who is willing to compromise because of votes is a scam. Yes, Ganduje has immunity, but did you see effc harassing fayose and even freezing his accounts while he sat as governor?
