Mid - Term Break For Schools During 2019 General Elections. The Federal Ministry of Education has made arrangements for mid-term break for all the citadel of learnings nationwide to embark on mid-term break for the purpose of general elections coming up this month. At the meeting with the Ministry of Education today, it was agreed schools will have 2 “half term breaks” to cover both the presidential and gubernatorial elections: First break from February 13th – February 18th. Classes resume on Tuesday, February 19th. Boarders return on the evening of February 18th. . Second “half-term break” from February 28th – March 4th. Classes resume on Tuesday, March 5th. This is very necessary as it will reduce or eradicate election violence around the red flag polling unit within the country. Again it will allow eligible voters participate and exercise their franchise |
