Hello Petlanders

I got this female GSD when she was about 2 months plus and when she came she met my other male dog and I hoped they'd get along.

She's scared of everything even when you try to touch her or even feed her, she's always curled up in herself when you try to touch her. You call her she doesn't respond she's about 6 months now and I was thinking she's gonna outgrow it but I'm scared if she continues like this I might lose my patience and it's not encouraging.

Please guys if anyone has experience in this area should help me out. How do I make her snap out of this fear or will it leave her at maturity please guys.!

Give her six more months to outgrow out of it, if you are lucky then that fear will probably turn in to aggression against strangers.

Take her for training, i hope you don't scare her sha, maybe too much beatings and shouting

A weak nerve dog will always be weak nerved, you can only manage the situation thru socializing so that she can atleast stop being fearful, but she will never be able to withstand pressure

Let us see her pics OP.

My opinion is. Use what scares her to train her to be bold.
Also socialise her.. Socialise I mean walk with her, Yall both should have conversation, talk sense into her..

Do not let her know u re looking down on her.

Train her like you would train your child.

you should have socialized the dog when it was younger

that's a terrible idea, fear aggression is a very weak form of aggression in dogs.
a dog with fear aggression will fold under pressure, and is also unpredictable when faced with a serious threat.
he'll just end up with a dog that'll bark at any intruder and run away when the threat isn't afraid of it and actually wants to fight.
you can use ordinary water bottles and knockout to rob a house guarded by a dog with fear aggression

My male gsd once behaved like this, you should socialize her and train her as well

the aggression you think dogs like that have can just be a front the dog is giving to scare away someone it's scared of......because a dog barks at everything doesn't make it a good guard dog.
it may have mind to attack a little boy that walks into the compound but it'll retreat in fear if an adult man with a gun walks in and shoots at it
which is why I said a dog with fear aggression is unpredictable
it can grow up to be an adult and still be scared or it can grow up and be nervous and snap at everything which is not a good thing
the best way is to expose the dog to crowds and scenarios it could face later in it's life so it will conquer that fear of people and loud noises.
then with that fear gone, it can reason properly and perform under pressure.
after all, police dogs aren't locked up all day to make them aggressive and brave. they are exposed to various scenarios,noises and people before they have the mind to attack without fear

sorry to ask why are you in a hurry for a normal dog to be aggressive it takes at least one year my boerboel was dull true out his 7month of existence everybody can tough him stranger and friendly he won't bark then when he reach the age of 1.1yrs even my younger sister dear not to touch him when eating he is highly aggressive I just want to say give him some time and don't beat the dog socialize the dog just walk him out that all you will see changes
