Check if it still has warranty, Samsung will fix it free of charge for you. Once bought a Samsung galaxy and went to change the screen was told the warranty is still active they fixed it twice the same year free of charge

true but they will decline this one because it's Verizon. I've gone there a thousand times with branded phones and their response always is "we are sorry but we can't fix this because it was not released for Nigerian market."

But LCD shadow /screen burn doesn't affect phone's functionality in any way.
