A young man identified as Yahya Usman Ahmad, has been hailed by fellow Nigerians after showing his talent by building an airplane model with locally sourced materials. The 20-year-old First Class Mathematics student from the College of Education in Yola, Adamawa state, constructed the plane model which took him some weeks – by using locally fabricated materials. After pictures of his work surfaced online, Nigerians are now calling on the government to take advantage of the boy’s talent and harness his potentials. I don't get it! Is the plane functional? Can it fly? is it qualified to be in the airspace? Something any welder can do... The boy should have channelled his energy into reading books, going to the University and achieve a feat there, then just maybe he might become an aeronautical engineer one day...
