The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu on Wednesday said democracy cannot be achieved in Nigeria through the ballot.

The IPOB Leader disclosed this in a post on his Twitter page.

Nnamdi Kanu wrote: “As long as Nigeria remain yoked to the 1999 Constitution written by half-baked Fulani military dictators, the benefits of Democracy can never be attained through the ballot box.

“This is an inescapable fact which even the most intellectually impoverished Nigerian cannot deny. “

What he is saying is fact and the evidence is there for all to see. The 1999 constitution which mirrors the 1979 constitution is what Nigeria has been operating for 40 years and achieved nothing


So if you like, vote from now to the year 3000, Nigeria is heading nowhere because the constitution of Nigeria, which is its foundation, is a fraudulent manual

You people are like ostriches that think their problems will go away if they bury their heads in the sand!

The other day, somebody was talking about how electing atiku will make Nigeria better, they were saying all sorts of nonsense. I then asked of the evil 1999 constitution, the guy said the Constitution doesn't matter, I just took out my phone, put my earpiece in my ear and started watching bluefilm....


As long as we continue to use that fraudulent document you call the 1999 constitution, Nigeria will go nowhere.

The constitution was made during a military regime.

The constitution was approved by the Armed Forces Ruling Council made up of 26 persons all males.

The people did not participate in the process of making the constitution. The people of Nigeria were excluded. Just a few fulani soldiers sat down and drafted the Constitution.

This is why the preamble which begins with “WE THE PEOPLE of the Federal Republic of Nigeria…do hereby make, enact and give to ourselves the following constitution” has been severely criticised in Nigeria as being a false claim.

This is why we can say that although the 1999 constitution is a legal document, it is certainly not legitimate.
