A lady identified as, Edith Ewulu, has been arrested by the police while dedicating a stolen 5-year-old girl, Felicia Godwin, in Emene, Enugu State.


According to Premium Times, the 56-year-old woman was arrested by operatives of the Enugu State Police Command in a new generation church, during a thanksgiving and dedication service for the kidnapped child whom she had renamed Gift Ewulu.

A statement by Police Public Relations Officer Ebere Amaraizu, revealed that the kidnapping suspect, who hails from Enugu Agidi in Anambra State, was allegedly found with little Miss Felicia Godwin, who was reportedly snatched from where she was playing at a Emene compound on February the 6th.

The suspect, Amaraizu said, revealed she bought the little girl from one Chioma who claimed to be running a social home in Aba, Abia State, for N470,000.

“According to the suspect, she bought the baby on February 7, 2019 from the seller at a renowned hospital in Umuahia, which convinced her that the business as genuine,” Amaraizu said.

I doubt if any church will allow dedication of a 5-year old child. Under what pretense

Orphanages still give out children for adoption.. She probably didn't know she paid for a stolen baby

As in the 56yr old woman took a 5yr old girl to church to dedicate as what? The childs mother or Nanny?
She became a mother of the child without birthing the child?
And the Pastor and Members of the church didnt ask questions?

Dedicating a child you bought. She might not knew the girl was kidnapped somewhere cos of the confidence she had to dedicate her in her church. During testimony what must she had said ?
