Everyone loved Fela. he didn't need no critic. I doubt up to 1 in 10 nigerians know about his work sef.

Seun Kuti's sound is outdated. It's just like Fela, but a poorer version.
Imagine him singing to a lot of those incredible afrobeats sound the likes of Wizkid use, but singing meaningful lyrics to them.

Due to music critics(professional music analyst), This people analyse song base on beat, lyrics, texture, composure, quality and many more. How many times have you heard Kendrick Lamar songs on TV? Yet he has 13 Grammy to his name. Songs you see on TV are called commercial music.
