I agree with you. Their choice includes a certain Atiku and a certain party called PDP. He should have said that too in Kano and all the states he's campaigned. At least party members will know that they don't need to canvass people to vote for him in particular. They will just be telling people to vote for any candidate of their choice.

A president who leads a political party should be at least seen to leading by example. You can't expect your party members to be campaigning for you and you are not supporting their own local aspirants. It was an APC rally and you can't be promoting any other party in your own party rally

Then party members should start campaigning for Atiku because they think he's better than him.
I have actually stopped campaigning for him. If he wins, great. If he doesn't then he should know he caused his own defeat.

I wish we could just look beyond political parties in choosing a leader. You shouldn't worry about what the candidates says about his party especially when he goes rogue on them for the right reason

How many independent candidates have won elections into congress even in the US, the acclaimed biggest democracy in the world. What that means is that you need the party anywhere party politics is practiced. If you think you don't need that particular party then there's no point staying in that party or seeking its support.

The democracy of US doesn't translate into a role model for Nigeria. I understand you clearly. All I am saying is that when your party principles is against yours, you can go rogue and depend on the masses. Afterall, the votes come from us. It was like the statement , "I belong to all but no one".
