There is a wise saying that goes thus, "only foolish people take the same action that has consistently failed them and expect positive outcome".

Nigeria today is at a crossroad, no thanks to the incompetent and failed leadership of the political elites that have been taking turns among themselves to enslave Nigerians since 1999, I mean both the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressive Congress. These two parties and their candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari respectively, have been going about spending public funds to convince Nigerians to vote them in the February 16 Presidential election even though they both have damaged antecedents and they naturally should be begging a judge to reduce their jail terms if it were in saner climes.

Atiku Abubakar was Vice President for 8 years and was notorious for looting everything he came in contact with, including funds for Petroleum Development Trust Fund. His colleague in looting and American Congressman Jefferson was jailed on account of bribery he did with Atiku. Atiku Abubakar shamelessly used money to pay his way during PDP primaries in an open show of shame just to outwit his opponents. This man is completely damaged and a far cry of what a sane society needs. The only credit he has to his name is endemic corruption.

The incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari is even worse than his colleague flying PDP flag. He is a discredited bigot, ethic jingoist, clueless leader and one that has divided the country even further. This man has destroyed whatever is left of Nigeria and has elevated mediocrity. He has no single legacy project to his credit.

Sadly, the association of corrupt Nigerians are rooting for either of them. Thank God for Middle belt leaders that stood their ground and endorsed the candidacy of Mr Gbenga Olawepo- Hashim, the candidate of peoples trust, a proven entrepreneur, grassroot mobiliser and businessman. A man with legitimate business to his name, among them are; Transnational Energy Nigeria Limited, where he serves as Chairman, Transnational Energy Corporate United States, where be serves as President. Mr Gbenga Olawepo is also the President Bresson Power, the promoters of Magboro Power Plant in Obafemi-Owode local government, Ogun state.

I urge Nigerian youths and other young people to say a big NO to failed experiments and embrace the true candidate that will not represent the interest of the corrupt class but those of the poor masses for a better Nigeria.

I am of the opinion that Nigeria will never be better. The way it was structured by the British, the Constitution, the Fulanis thirst for power and several other factors are why Nigeria will never be better. I believe Nigerians don't know what they want. They just vote candidates without critically analyzing the problems of Nigeria and what they expect from their elected candidates. To win elections in Nigeria is easy. Just simple emotional manipulations of the masses will land you in government. We the igbos and some other ethnic groups have seen that Nigeria will not work. We have chosen the path of secession. We have lost friends and family to the murderous bloodthirsty Nigerian army. We have shown our disgust on social media, we have observed a few sit-at-home. At some point, we forced several political and ethnic leaders to debate on restructuring. We agreed to boycott the anambra governorship election. We didn't vote in the anambra elections. We seemed United. All of a sudden, we are now divided because of a fulani man. We didn't vote in our governorship elections that would determine the lives of millions of people in anambra state. But we are now campaigning for a fulani man. Will the Fulanis ever campaign for an igbo president the way my people have suddenly declared to vote for Atiku? Biafra has always been the dream. A straight road where we have sworn to Go forward. Why are we taking this diversion? What will atiku offer igbos? The Fulanis do not want igbo empowerment in Nigeria. How are you sure that atiku will go against the plans and wants of the Fulanis? Do you think atiku will fill his cabinet with igbos and ignore the Fulanis? Buhari has put a structure in place for the Fulanis. They now own every part of government. Do you think atiku will betray the Fulanis and destroy that structure buhari has put in place? Are you prepared to be disgraced if atiku disappoints you? Because I know the yorubas will laugh at us. They are already laughing at us because a few years back, we were looking very desperate to leave Nigeria. Now we're so much interested in Nigeria. are you willing to throw away biafra, our dream, because of one man, obi? Let us think. We have less than one week to decide if we're going to betray ourselves and be slaves in Nigeria for the next 100 years.

If all these other intellectual presidential candidates had pooled their strength together and presented Hashim, they would have ended up with the strong third force needed to move Nigeria in the right direction.

However, to avoid a wasted vote, it is better to go with an atiku/obi for now as it is required to show any party in power that if they fall below expectation, they get booted out as it happened during president Jonathan's time.

If PDP once again fails, a united third force should have a better chance. Next time.
