The competition was very interesting. It was amazing that we have only 4 people that participated out of all those that showed interest.
And also interesting that many people did not see result, and no one thought to even check up on the organisers to see what was causing delay?

What if the organizers have died in election palava? No, people were busy running their mouth anyhow. How can I be part of a competition and run away?

As if on this same nairaland, we have not done other competitions in the past where people collected their money? Too many bad-belle people dey for this board abeg.

Only four people? I submitted my code.
I even asked about the results on your website 2 weeks ago.

Sorry for the issue, one of the judges is just confirming too that your entry was sent. It will soon reflect in the results.

The problem here is that people did not follow the primary instruction which was to share the bitbucket with dhtml. Only 1 person complied with these instruction.

For the competitors, in case your entry was not noted, please resend. The judges can do a quick review of this and patch things accordingly.

There are 2 pending people:
- bolkay47
- silver (late submission but will be considered)

These will be graded very shortly.

bolkay47, please send in a compiled version of your work. This seem to have caused a slight issue with the judge and that is why your result is missing (apologies for this)

Good morning to you sir!

It appears there is a mixup somewhere. I saw Mr Tony's email few minutes ago, and I have responded.

I sent my code to Mr. Tony on the 5th. In fact, I finished my project before that time, as I worked say and night in it such that mother kept asking me "What's going on?" Haha.

In fact, he acknowledged my email that day.

I have replied his email with a link to the compiled version.

All is well.

Thanks for taking your time to look into this.

The judges are unable to determine who did a better job between bolkay47 and SetrakusRa, so a tie for the first position is declared.

Unfortunately, there is a small issue with silver's project, it is still under review, and the result shall be published as soon as possible.

Wow!

I'm so happy right now. My mum is also so happy for me, and that's what I want.

Again, so happy.

Congratulations to you too SetraKusra.

Thanks to the organisers.

I'm so happy.

And you guys are welcome to the Afrikoders team, all the contestants. In time you will realise the full meaning of this.
The next "competition" you will be working on will yield far more than this.

The optics of this didn't look good. You announced a winner only after a thread complaining about no information from the organisers was about to impugn on your integrity. That's one step too late.

You are completely wrong in your assertion, we announced a winner after we finish sorting things out at our end and not as a result of any complain.

For your information, dhtml has organized competition on this board before, and everyone got paid their dues, and these ones will get paid too.

You are making assertions without evidence. You might not know it, but part of the competitors are the core of afrikoder guys who have been in touch with the organizers directly. And dhtml mind you has been on this forum since 2006 i believe under different aliases, and his company is fully registered under C.A.C and he is a known person to us - not a faceless person like so many people on this board that talk rubbish.

Something u guys promised to announce immediately after Christmas or new year.
How big was the projects that it took you close to 2 months to decide who the winners and losers are?
Let's call a spade a spade.... What u guys did was wrong.

However, if the winners of the competition are awarded the stipends they won.... This will make more upcoming programmers participate in your upcoming projects.

It took more than a month for Nairaland programming section to get to know who the winners are.

That's the main issue here.
No one is questioning the integrity of DHTML.
We're rather questioning the way in which you guys organized the who thing.
It should have been better.
I believe the next one will be organized more maturely.

@modestbrowser, you have come here to fight, but you are not aware of facts.
Most of the submissions came in early january. So it is just over a month ago.
Throughout the month of january, dhtml was very ill and thank God he did not die.

Now, when you people did not see the organizers, you did not care to find out what could be wrong, and started making silly threads all over the place and useless people like asalimpo, yourself and others talking through the back of their mouths.

Now, for the record (and dhtml has agreed to this), these set of winners will receive their reward, however, further competition will take place on afrikoders.

Last bullet, I am not accountable to any of you save those that actually participated in the competition. So modestbrowser, asalimpo, and all other bad-belle people, get off my back. I know you are not happy that I have come to announce the winners. But the winners are happy, and the organizers are happy, that is what matter (your opinions do not count at all, rave and bleat all you like)

Congratulations once again to the victors and shame to all the bad-belle people. As for those that fell by the way-side, well, i wish you all good luck. Many are called but few are chosen - that is what the wise people told us.

You're a very funny person.
Was the competition for the competitors alone or for both the competitors and the spectators?

A football match isn't between the two teams alone but the teams and the fan.

Sorry Dhtml was ill.
What you could have done as one of the organizers and one who was healthy is create a thread on this section and tell us.

So had it been someone didn't create a thread to ask how the competition ended you wouldn't have told us who the winners were?

You said I came to fight?
You're really not as smart as I've placed u before.
You called people who question your way of organization bad belle people.
You're really not as smart as I thought

I must have been mistaken then, i thought you came to fight, but apparently not. Apologies then, i was busy with work and election stuffs until dhtml resurrected and we are back here again.

I hope all of you guys have got your PVC sha?

You should act with more wisdom than this.
Anybody who followed that thread was wondering how it all turned out but d thread died a slow death nd got swept away,in typical NL culture under a flood of new threads. Most shrugged it off as NL/naija syndrome, others bothered to voice their curiosity and other criticize d poor handling of d event. For that, they are now bad belle people and useless people! Guy, please grow up.

Learn a little PR,it goes a longway in helping your brand

Dhtml/dhtml18 Sorry about your illness. Thank God that you've recovered from death's door.

Last time i tried registering on afri-coders,it's authentication was a joke. Frustration doesnt begin to describe my experience. Same ish with friendosphere. Making an app is one thing, making it usable- a whole new ball game entirely.
