Nelson Mandela did not run away, he only travelled around the world gathering support and funds to fight the apartheid government. He went back after his travels and was thrown into prison for 27 years. Same thing with MKO, he came back after traveling to gather international support to confront the Abacha junta. He was eventually arrested, jailed and killed.

Jesus never ran from anyone, that would be an insult to christians, it was his parents that fled to Egypt while taking him along as an infant, he had as no say in the matter at all.

Anyone who believes in a cause must be ready to die for the cause. It was not a must for Moses to go to the promised land, he only led his people to it.

Yes. True freedom fighters don't run and leave their followers to die. Throughout history true freedom fighters were prepered to die while fighting for their cause. Read about William Wallace and how he died to achieve independence for Scotland.

ok, so your problem with nnamdi kanu is just because he's still alive. Once he's dead he becomes a brave and true freedom fighter?

No. Because he scampered away at the first sign of danger, after boasting of "biafra or death".
Maybe you are to young to know Gani. Gani always had a bag packed with his clothes, toiletries and drugs in case IBB's SSS came. He only asks for 5 mins to get his bag and follow them. Gani underwent the worst prison treatment at the hands of IBB. It was the disease he contracted in one of the prisons that eventually killed him.

Fela's mother was killed by the military and he was unjustly incarcerated by Buhari, but he did not run away and continued fighting the military with his music.

Kanu on the other hand tricked the courts into giving him bail on health grounds, putting his sureties under great risks. As soon as he was freed, he started threatening and boasting. At the first sight of soldiers he ran away, not caring who is killed or maimed by the soldiers he invited.
