Tell Us How Buhari's Administration Affected Your Life by mek2002(op): 9:48am On Feb 14, 2019
I am not a politician neither am I a fan of any political party. I am for good governance. I support any governor that does well irrespective of his party. Therefore, I am a neutral person when it comes to politics.
I am a business man. I deal on electrical materials. Before 2015, I was ordering goods from Dubai and China. The exchange was favourable. Business was smooth. I started my business with N350k in 2012 and within three years, I grew it close to a little above N3m.
I also buy goods from Lagos. Before 2015, if I bought goods worth of 500k from Lagos, when it got to the park from where I would take it to my store, I would have to hire a bus. Today, the story has changed. Now, if I buy goods worth of same amount, I'll hire Keke Napep to convey it to my store.
I stopped ordering goods from Dubai and China due to high exchange rate. Prior to 2015, 100w bulb cost N25 in Alaba market. Today, it costs above N60. There are many like that.
My mother-in-law came to do Omugwo in my house in 2014, and when it was time to leave, I had to buy some items which I would use to accompany her home. I bought a bag of rice at the rate of N8,500. In 2018, she came again for Omugwo. In fact she told me not disturb myself about buying rice. 'The price is very high,' she said.
What's my point? I am badly affected by Buhari's administration. My business is struggling very hard to survive. It's as if am beginning afresh. I know some men who sold their cars because of hardship. Joke apart, there are some men that beg to feed their families. These people were not performing badly before 2015. There's serious hunger in the country.

If a leader is not able to give his subjects food, what then is his achievement? I'm not saying 'give me food'. All I am saying is that you should provide an enabling environment. I can hustle for my for food.

Therefore, tell me how this administration affected your life.

Around 2013 in the hostel, use to buy a paint of rice for 600 in the hostel. Fast forward 2017, after the inflation a paint of rice is 1800.

Thats the major issue (Food). Lot of family are suffering, the government doesn't care.

N power and other social security schemes are not the cure to poverty and unemployment. At best, they are only managing your poverty.
Vote for Atiku so that your poverty can be cured.

I am businessman apart from what I sell here, nevertheless, my business was hit massively and my customer base reduce drastically since 2015, I had to reduce price even though it wasn't convenient and that means a fall in profit margin.

Just as the op said, I don't need govt to feed me but create the platform/enabling environment for my hustle to thrive. Since they cannot give us jobs after all these years of searching, we choose to find these job for ourselves and the best they (govt) can do is to give that positive environment for it,is that too much to ask.

I swear sometimes naija weak me but what to do na cheesy

Kerosene was never sold at 50 naira per litre. Stop lying. I was buying a lacasera bottle of Kerosene at uniben hostel for 100 naira as at 2014.

That said, crude oil which is our main source of our foreign earning was selling at $110 per barrel from 2010-2014. Compares that to the poverty $50 per barrel it has been selling under APC. If Jonathan had saved during the time of plenty, we wouldn't be in a mess during this global crude oil price recess.

Yeye dey smell.

At least Conveying containers From Lagos to Minna has been easier due to the newly constructed Ilorin-jebba mokwa road...

Thereby Reducing loss time due to excessive accidents, hold up, trailer damages etc

In short perishables can get to Lagos from Minna within a day as against before when you spend 3 to 4 days due to bad road...

It has favoured me through the bailout funds to the governors which has made Akeredolu to pay salary arrears accumulated by Mimiko.

Payment of the pension of airline staffs forced to retire after Atiku shambolic privatisation. PDP hasn't paid in the last 16 years.

Infrastructure s such as Okitipupa-Ijebu ode road, Lagos-Ibadan railway, Lagos-Abeokuta Railway.

All these despite earning 60% less.
