Yes, Ethiopia was the first nation although I don't know the first Christian church. The picture I have shared is a very important church where it is believed that the Arc of covenant is kept there.


What makes Ethiopian church very different from others is also that Ethiopians accepted Christianity and followed their own way. Ethiopians built their own church everywhere they go to tackle the influence of the foreigners in religion. Europeans weren't only teaching religion but they used churches for their political purpose. Ethiopia was not the one to be influenced. Do you know the term 'ETHIOPIANISM' ??


Ethiopianism is a process where Africans separately make their own church not to be under the influence of others. There is South African Ethiopianism, Nigerian Ethiopianism etc. . .

I have seen those Ethiopian orthodox church in most parts of SA,in Tz not much.Truth be told,Ethiopia has a great history to tell.In tourism,you can attract a lot of people through the history you possess.

But I doubt if the arc is in Ethiopia. I really doubt.For my understanding, wherever the arc went or stayed people were greatly blessed.I don't mean you aren't blessed, no,but I expected to see you much blessed actually to be the richest in Africa.

So, you believe being blessed is having money. I don't think that is what blessed mean. Being blessed is having peace and in both cases (peace and money), Ethiopia doesn't seem blessed now. But whenever you enter our church, you feel somewhere out of the world. I am serious.

You have no idea how people have faith here. In northern Ethiopia, Tigray region, mothers baptize their kids carrying them and going to a church curved out of the tip of the mountain. They carry their kids and climb the mountain. You think you do understand what Ethiopia Orthodox Tewahdo church, but you didn't. And it's not surprising because you can't easily
