is stealing tithe supposed to be a crime ? since the owner of the money is God Almighty and He might just have told the guy to pick up the money and use .

Lots of thieves are in the church. Even some members are thieves. Reminds me of an incident of a church we were invited to. In the donation envelope, this man put a very reasonable amount in the envelope and gave it to the church. The second day, the man wife was rushed to the hospital and there was need for an emergency surgery which costs was somehow huge. This man after exhausting all options to gather the remaining the balance approached the church, spoke with the pastor to borrow him the money he donated yesterday and discussed the situation on ground.
Can you believe, the pastor said the amount the ushers said was received wasn't even up to half of the amount the man said he donated. Pastors should shine their eyes.

I like to think this dude is probably one of those that used all his wages to 'sow seeds' while he was still boxed up. Unemployment has set in and he's trying to recoup his losses manually.

Religion is -like any ideologies founded on fairytales, deception and ignorance- bound to die a natural death. As knowledge becomes easier to spread due to advancement in science and technology, people would become less afraid to challenge their beliefs, fear the non-existent god less and break themselves free from indoctrination and dogmatism.


Religion WILL die and I, for one, would not mourn its passing.

Back in the days as a child, I thought the pastor takes the money to heaven through a divine ladder in the church's backyard as he always emphasizes on giving to God.
