an tweet via its official handle, the Nigeria police force has revealed that the IGP M.A Adamu has charged the Digital and Forensic Unit of @PoliceNG to investigate the authenticity of a photo circulating on social media, to ascertain whether it's real or photo-shopped.

The outcome of the investigation and appropriate actions will be made known to the public, the force headquarters tweeted.

An internet user had earlier shared the photo of 3 policemen displaying the 4 + 4 sign, a symbol associated with Buhari/APC 2019 campaign.

The photo has since raised doubt on the neutrality of members of the Nigeria police force in the rescheduled general elections.
