@POLITICSNGR PoliticsNGR has summarized a speech made by Nigeria's Senate President and DG of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Bukola Saraki at the 84th National Executive Council meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Below are 8 takeaways from Saraki's statements at the meeting; 1. On PDPs Campaign Message “Nigerians are tired of insecurity, unemployment and poverty. Nobody wants to be insecure, unemployed or poor. This is why our message has resonated across the country.” 2. On Nigeria’s Democracy “We should not ruin this democracy because of the ambition of one man.” 3. On Voter Turn-Out “We have 4 more days to go. I want to appeal to Nigerians: do not let them frustrate you. When there is a low turn out, they can rig, but if you come out to vote, they cannot rig.” 4. On PDP Being Against Rigging “PDP is against election rigging. The law must apply to people that rig. We in the PDP stand against election rigging, we oppose election rigging, but we are also against jungle justice and disregard of the rule of law.” 5. What Sort of Nigeria do Nigerians Want? “When you come out to vote on Saturday, do you want a Nigeria that that adheres to the rule of law, or do you want a Nigeria that is governed by jungle justice.” 6. On Coming Out to Vote on February 23rd “I want to appeal to Nigerians, their plan is to have low turn out and frustrate you. Please come out again and vote for Atiku that will make the country better. On Saturday, when you come out to vote, vote for Nigeria.” 7. On INEC and APCs ‘Nollywood’ Meeting “INEC, we know that they do not want you to hold that election on Saturday, but we want you to hold that election on Saturday... The Nollywood APC meeting Yesterday was because they don't want elections on Saturday, but we want elections on Saturday, Nigerians want elections on Saturday, the world wants elections on Saturday.” 8. I still find it difficult to believe that people can still be shouting next level!! Who's is actually going to take you to the next level, and what's the definition of the next level These and many more I was thinking about. Now, let me say I have no problem with anyone who voted for APC in 2015, because no one knew what was going to happen in the aftermath, many people wanted change. That's fine. But if after everything that has happened in this country you can still be as blind as a blind man, then your head needs examination. Funny thing is that, while IPOB and supporters of Looters kept disturbing us in all the threads with; Buhari back to daura, Obidiently Atikulated, Like for Atiku share for Buhari( likes not even upto a thousand) , Atiku our next president , Dullard is going back to his Cows etc. The real Buhari supporters are being patient waiting to vote en mass for him on election day. All the Atikulooters kept saying is; We don't expect Atiku to defeat Buhari in the North, but we expect him to share the votes with Buhari. Damn, that is a foolery of the highest order. Fact is that before you meet a single Atiku supporter, you would have met Five Buhari supporters in the North. Infact, where I am currently, it is weird to say you are an Atiku supporter because they believed Buhari is the one fighting for the poor(though he has made few wrongs),whileAtiku is coming back to continue his well strategized looting( Don't you see that any politician that turns his back on Buhari in the North is no longer taken seriously??)The guyz still supporting Atiku are mostly the ones who did not vote Buhari in 2015 (Because of their selfish interest) only few that voted Buhari in 2015 decided to try Atiku now (with doubt in their hearts). The hand writing is written on the wall. I know Atiku supporters will call this self- consoling or call me Afonja, LOL. I am none and currently typed this from the North Central, and have contacted my friends in other Northern Zones one of which i'm schooling. I don't know anything about the southern votes. But, know that if Atiku wins, I'm not on the loosing side as he is a northerner and will always consider the northern interest . (SINCERELY WRITTEN). 12 Likes 1 Share |
