Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos Prince Tony Momoh, a former Minister of Information on Wednesday said President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to security agencies to deal ruthlessly with ballot box snatchers ahead of the 2019 general election is in order. Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Momoh, one of the national leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said Nigerians do not expect the President to give national honours to those who committed crime by declaring war on due process and free, fair elections. He said “What is snatching of ballot box? Snatching a box is a crime. It is declaration of war on due process and free, fair election. Anyone who declares war on due process is committing treason against due process. “Those condemning Buhari, are they suggesting that anybody who snatches a box on Election Day should be given a national honour? “I don’t know what Nigerians are talking about. Hmmm. That is the irony in the life of a typical pig. Pigs will not stop making reference to how US is light-years ahead of Nigeria. Tell them to behave like the Americans, they insult you down to your forefathers. They will tell you US is a sane country, yet some of them who stepped foot in that US end up in jail for being more stupid than goats. Joshmodest: But a ballot box snatchers or criminal can totally shoot you down in what is jungle justice? I was watching a movie yesterday, named "Death Wish". Crime rate increased. People are shut and killed almost daily. Many of those cases are unsolved by the police (more than 80%). Suddenly, a man on the hood appears, a vigilante. He kills people who kills people; Murderers, drug dealers, rapist are scared. Police comes into the scene and are interested in apprehending the killer of killers. They want to bring him to justice. To them, it more important to bring the vigilante to justice than solve their unsolved cases. Does America use ballot boxes /ballot papers? The voting I'm aware of in the US is electronic and transparent - except when hacked.
