This not not money burnt. This is money well invested. They didn't use N45B to buy one car as you may have thought (This was also my initial thought). The 45B Naira was used to acquire a huge 36% of the company in Russia. That means their country can start the production and distribution of same car. Imagine the job created, tax revenues and economic productivity.

Let's come back home. This amount $110m is small amount of money that can be raised in this country by government and individuals to acquire many of this type of production and manufacturing companies for our country's growth! It seems when it comes to Nigeria, either our leaders do not know how to negotiate this deal or the companies bloat their worth or stupid corruption over country's interest

That little show off has now paid off as Abu Dhabi-based Tawazun Economic Council ,the body tasked with the development of a UAE defence industry, has decided to invest 110 million Euros (roughly ₦45 billion) in the Russian automotive brand Aurus.
