Vigilant residents of Sokale area of Abuja, has raised alarm after some “INEC” officials were spotted exchanging ballot boxes into a private car.

The officials were spotted exchanging ballot boxes which had votes for presidential and national assembly elections on Saturday, into a private car. A police officer supervised the exchange.

Facebook user Lewis Chikeluba Omike who shared a video from the scene of the incident, said residents of the area wanted to lynch the officials but got restrained.

He wrote;

Dear Channels Television We want this to be Investigated.

The Citizens wanted to attack them but had to be civilized to Act with Morals. You Ordered Shot At Sight But this is not what your promised us.

I can see why the people were against your sentimental statement.

Who else but APC? Their desperation is beyond reason. Good governance was never in their agenda!

ELECTIONS ARE SCAM IN NIGERIA.

THAT'S WHY I BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY WAY OUT IS FOR US TO ADOPT A VERY ANCIENT SYSTEM, WHEREBY CITIZENS WILL GATHER IN A VERY LARGE SPACE AND A HEAD COUNT TAKEN, WITH LIVE RECORDING OF THE WHOLE PROCESS. THERE AND THEN WE KNOW THE NUMBER OF VOTERS A PARTICULAR CANDIDATE HAS, AND DECLARE A WINNER IN THE PRESENCE OF ALL MAN.

INEC IS SCAM. NONSENSE.

IT WON'T TAKE MORE THAN 2 HOURS IF VOTERS GO TO THEIR WARDS, MAKE A QUEUE IN FRONT OF THE LOGO OF THE POLITICAL PARTY OF THEIR CHOICE, BE COUNTED AND THE TOTAL NUMBER RECORDED IN THE PRESENCE OF EVERYONE PRESENT, AND ON LIVE BROADCAST.

I DON'T KNOW IF I'M MAKING SENSE BUT THAT WAY IT WON'T BE EASY FOR ELECTORAL MATERIALS TO BE TOSSED AROUND LIKE THIS, SINCE THERE WON'T BE ELECTORAL MATERIALS.

WITH WHAT WAS WITNESSED YESTERDAY I DON'T THINK THERE HAS EVER BEEN A FAIR ELECTION IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY.

This country has no future with what I see, the youths are going no where. Nigeria is not getting any better soon, so don't bother trying to fix it. Buhari is cursed and if you support him and his evil deeds you're cursed too.

That was the system used in 1993 "Option A4". It's simple and quick, saves cost because no need to print ballot papers nor provision of ballot boxes and other voting materials. The only material required are result sheets, and probably biro and stamps.
The only election conducted in Nigerian history that was free, fair and credible, and with very low budget was the June 12, 1993. The results for the 21 States of the federation was known that same day.
If you know the history of June 12 election, then you know the rest of the story.
