Tension In Akwa Ibom Over Akpabio’s ‘Likely’ Defeat by dre11(op): 5:49pm On Feb 24, 2019

There is an ongoing tension in some parts of Akwa Ibom State as election results so far collated from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District do not appear to be in favour of Sen. Godswill Akpabio.

It would be recalled that Sen. Akpabio had boosted that elections will be concluded within three hours.
Ge had also openly bragged that the PDP should have presented to him a suitable match to enable him feel the weight of his ‘impending’ victory.

But the ‘unsuitable’ match and former Deputy Governor of the state, Engr Chris Ekpenyong, appears to be invoking sleepless nights in the camps of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

So far, Senator Godswill Akpabio has lost to the PDP candidate in Ukanafun, OrukAnam, Abak, Etim Ekpo, Obot Akara, Ika, Ini and Ikono. Results from Ikot Ekpene and Essien Udim were still being expected.
