This is why bail can't be free.

The worst is that the state commands would also ask stations to contribute for expenses incurred at the command e.g Stationary, media fee etc.

Don't you think that maybe because they are underfunded they need to do these extras to be able to function. 30k is not enough for my maintenance a month, talk more of a whole police station. cry cry cry
Offpoint:
What are they doing with bail money and other criminally acquired money? ... 30k is enough. Those guys are too corrupt to be given any money above that.

We only have laws on paper. Nothing is working.
We need to uninstall this country and then reinstall something else. It's obvious that this country is as useless as the P in psychology..

Forget bro, they're not doing it for any maintenance purpose, those guys made millions of naira on monthly basis. I know them very well.

kilode!!! This is too much na
I had to give it to him.
I made a harmless comment even a funny one sef pertaining to a joke on nairaland about a mod known for pushing snake related incidents to frontpage.

Out of nowhere, the guy just call me "oponu".
For what na. I no talk to am, i no abuse am, i no get any issue with am.

Thats my own personality on this forum. If you talk sensibly, i also talk sensibily with you even if we do not agree on the matter at hand eventually.

Once you begin to insult me needlessly, i retaliate instantly until the person is back to his senses.

The Baltimore where he lives, does he not see the quality of cars the police drive or the sophisticated laptop that each police man patrolling the streets have in their cars. Or the kind of training, guns and neat uniforms that they use.

Call 911 anywhere in USA, and within ten minutes you will have at least 5 police vehicles where the incident happened.

Is that possible on an 80$ a month budget.

What the Ex-cop ve said Is 101% truth..

Each day we keep bashing the police not realizing they re performing above what the govt ill-intentioned for them..
You are absolutely right. Which is why I always render monetary assistance to them if see them once in a while. One was surprised that a pedestrain accosted him and give him money. The converstion was like this:

Me: Oga police take buy cold bottle of water.

Policeman: *looks surprised* Oga wey your car?

Me: I no get car. Na only person wey get car dey give police something.

Policeman: Thank you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One week later, I was passing by and he stopped a keke marwa for me to enter and told the man that I shouldn't pay (he chuckled 'na my oga be this ooo').

I got to my bust stop and paid the man.

Morale of the story: The police are humans too. We can show a little kindness to them. It goes a long way to assist and build a cordial relationship within the immediate environment.
