The bezels and chipset made the price lower. If they had gone extreme with smaller bezels while equipping it with SD 855, gorilla glass 6 etc then expect it to be expensive and folks like you will still complain that it's costly

That's still better in my opinion, you have many competitors churning out great products, and users also hate mediocrity.
