INEC said, where the card reader failed to authenticate a registered voter, the polling officers will confirm the identity of the person with the card details, confirm the person's details on the register, manually accredit the person and then allow the person to vote.
There's Verification and then authentication. You can be manually accredited if your card is verified by the card reader but fails to capture your finger prints. The �numbers are in the query icon of the smart card reader
