Ok ...I would have preferred from 2014 and newer but how much does this go for least? Can I swap the SSD with a regular drive?

Nope you can't swap the SSD with a regular HD... and really why would anyone wanna do that, if you want more space, you can get an External HD for backup or upgrade the internal SSD, or just get the thick non-retina models. Call me for negotiation.
