Please I need help with repairs of my Nissan xterra in portharcourt. I would be grateful if I can get the contact of a good mechanic in Portharcourt, Rivers state.
Let me also explain the issues, if I can get advice.
I was out of town in another state to work for about 6 weeks, so I had to pack the car during this period. When I got back, I discovered that the car was not starting. It is a new battery, so I was quite sure it wasn't drained. I called a mechanic and he discovered that a particular wire had been eaten halfway by rats. He fixed this wire, but the solution was short lived. After a while, it started having hard-start. Would take a while before the car starts, would just be giving a click sound when I try to start the car.
At this point I engaged another mechanic, who seemed to worsen it. After he worked on it, I discovered the dashboard light was very very dim, and the car radio started to seize. I also charged the battery, but the situation remains the same.
Also, I discovered after the weeks I left the car without using, the fuel gauge stopped working.

I would appreciate any advice I can get, and I would be grateful if I can be given the contact of a very good mechanic (electrician) who can assist recitify these faults.

Your problem is electrical. You are not supposed to be looking for a mechanic. You are to look for an auto electrical technician usually called a rewire.a good one who knows his onions.
Sadly I'm not anywhere close to u neither can I recommend someone at the moment.
AutoElectNG might be of help to u here on nairaland bit I doubt remote assistance can work in this case
