As long as they are taxed...they have a right to vote and be voted for in Lagos. ..you can't eat their tax and expect them not to have a say....even the so called APC in Lagos is losing it...thugs are in charge of the state..just that their activities are suppressed by the media..meanwhile for the Igbos that have decided not to utilize the ports in PH and Warri to grow their business. ..you all deserve what you are getting. ..continue sand filling Lekki..while your region suffers.. |

Viergeachar:Oga go to court and challenge that. Igbos are Nigerians therefore have every right by law to vote or be voted for in any part of Nigeria. You are free to migrate to any part of the country you like and contest, the law allow you to do so. Insecurity problem is the problem of you guys |

I know sarrki's case is a lost one, but nevertheless, I'll indulge him. Isn't it stupidity to tell Igbos to not contest for elections, rather than the wisdom that is telling your people to not vote for igbos? Isn't it foolishness to collect multiple taxes from hardworking businessmen to pay your salaries as well as funding your political futility, then turn around to tell them not to take decisions that will better their businesses? Is it not madness that landowners will sell their wastelands to hardworking Igbo men and women, and lazy Omoniles would still collect unjustifiable sums of monies to satisfy their lazy vagaries, spend huge sums to make the wasteland liveable, then you who can barely make ends meet without some political godfather's aid would believe you can do same in the east where there are no godfathers to ass up to? Even though there are no Omoniles to forcefully rip you off your hard earned money? Why don't you man up and pressure your governor to forcefully eject the Igbos from Lagos (that is the limit of your scope of the SW, as implied from your post) and let's all see how you would fare (point to note: it has happened once, and here we are today) instead of raving like a lunatic all over the internet. As a side note: You do realize that Lagos is the only state where a yoruba politician will dress up in an igbo attire in their campaign posters? It happens nowhere else in Nigeria, except at the presidential elections level. If you don't understand what that means, I'll help you do so; THE IGBOS ARE AN INFLUENTIAL POLITICAL POWER BLOC IN LAGOS. Your politicians know this, and there's nothing you or them can do about it. As for NL mods, keep up the bias-filled work. This Sarrki guy has consistently fanned the embers of tribalism on Nairaland, but you all act like it isn't in violation of NL's "terms". |

sarrki:My grandpas were gradually buying up the lands and today I can confidently say over 50% of the lands have been bought and there is nothing you can do about it.. Instead of making noise online I expect Yorubas like you to start an offline campaign of asking igbos to leave Lagos let’s seee what you can achieve. Igbos will vote massively for PDP in Lagos and if Agbaje wins nothing will happen! The Tinubu empire will crumble less than 10 years from now ! |

Tinubu is not holding any political office in Lagos. He’s a leader without greed of power/office like Saraki. All Our Igbo leaders are very greedy and wanted to be at the senate forever!! They can’t sit back to strategize and plan for Our region political growth. I hate APC but Tinubu should be a role Model for every young politicians. He’s a leader who have build very strong leaders in all political cabinets and parastatals. Stop hate speeches every ship need a captain. We all came to Lagos because it’s better than our states. I respect His brilliancy!!! Where are our Igbos 1999 Governors & Senators !!! |

Tomorrow when he becomes a Dr and he sees my kids enjoying the proceed of that investment instead of being grateful to them for helping to make him a Dr, he will be shouting "omo Igbo respect your hosts" Una never see anything. Sorry to sound this way but Sarrki you are a disgrace to patriotism if you actually believe this thing you posted. I challenge you or any non-Igbo here to name any location in the SE where he/she needs a land and if I don't as an agent get the land free of agent fee, I will give such a person my plot (1) of land at Awka, Anambra state. See Sarrki stop peddling lies. How could you say an Igbo man can do anything for money but you insist he can't sell his land for a normal price? What is wrong for an Igbo man to vote whomever he wants in Lagos? There are Yorubas in all parts of the world and with citizenship, vote anyone they want without disruption but in a whole Lagos with elutes, even before policemen votes of citizens were burnt and wasted. And here you are asking Igbos to respect their hosts. Bros, those Igbos don't they pay tax? Don't they settle omoniile quiet often? The state govt collect all sorts of levies, they pay too. What else do you want? They even move to swampy areas, pay exorbitant prices & levy and still do something. Go to Auto-parts, Alaba Int'l, etc and they do so with better structures contributing to the states IGR and they even pay homages (in cash) to the Obas, Baales, Iyalojas. Sarrki, what else do you want? In the east, at Onitsha main mkt there are lots of Yoruba tailors whose skills are so good. And people prefer to give them jobs than even to the indigent Igbos there. I know one since birth and he was like our family tailor. He voted PMB and even shared his beliefs in PMB at the polling unit and no one witheld his rights. Bros, grow up. Last time, your Oba was openly threatening people for trying to vote Agbaje (A Yoruba man oooooo; I mean so people must vote your candidate cos they ain't indigent? Please take us back to the slavery era so we know humans have no right, then your claims will be right. Even Hausas has lots of Garrkis in Anambra state, no one collects unnecessary levies from them and they have a polling unit there where they vote and you'll never hear of disruptions no matter the rejection PMB faces in the east. I hope you know Yorubas own oil wells in Imo & Abia too? Have they ever had it hostile? You'll never hear of it cos in the SE, no one cares. |

globemoney:Bros stop that. What do you mean? Igbos are not and will not take over Lagos, it's not our home. YORUBAS own Lagos, it belongs to them & no one is taking it from them but Igbos have the right to vote whomsoever they like |
