But what you fail to understand is that most of ipob and Igbo members saw Lagos as land of opportunity. The indigenes are so loose or can I call it hospitable enough to allow the settlers handles some key positions in the land.. and dominate some axis in the land .there is a saying; that human being needs are insatiable..
The Igbo saw the election period as time to press for more... ordinary ipob member will want to vote for JK or PDP. The reason is not that they think jk can perform, it's because through JK , they can achieve their sinister motives in Lagos.... and the motive is not far fetch, they want ipob member to equally be deputy governor of Lagos and Even governor of Lagos State...

I think the federal republic of Nigeria has been very fair to the Igbo as their people are enjoying huge number of federal appointments than even the Niger delta region whose crude oil money is being use to run the country.

Almost all federal ministry has Igbo as appointee but you hardly find urhobos, isokos, ijaws, binis, kwale, itsekiri, ishan, estako, afemai ibibio, efik etc

Despite all the juicy federal appointment that were given to the Igbos, the Igbos are insatiable as their voices cry the loudest saying MARGINALIZATION.

Despite President Muhammadu Buhari NORTHERNIZATION policy in which a greater percentage of his appointee are from the north.

Go to Alaba International market and Computer village all in Lagos. It is Igbos that own 90 percent of the shop.

Go to Abuja it is Igbos that own most of the hotels and restaurants.

Lagos state government had been very magnanimous in making Igbos commissioners at various point in time.

I was thinking that ex-governor Peter Obi or any of the governor of the 5 south east states will reciprocate by appointing a Yoruba man as commissioner in their state cabinent but he or they never did.

I strongly disagree with those that claim Igbos are marginalise in Nigeria.

The people that are marginalise in Nigeria are the Niger delta region whose crude oil is being use to run the 36 states including Abuja.

Go to Warri, Ogoni even port Harcourt city and see how crude oil producing community are suffering despite the fact that the oil money being used to run the government in Nigeria from federal to state and local government is sourced from their ancestral land.

You are not truthful with yourself. When Lagos was the federal capital, was it part of the yoruba land? Why are ibos not claiming Osun, Ogun or Oyo? Because those are the core Yoruba States. Lagos has never been a yoruba stste, it was a colony and later capital of Nigeria. So it is home to every Nigerian. If Faleke from the North can represent Lagos in NASS, then why can't an ibo man represent Surulere in Lagos? Was it not built with oil wealth from the Niger Delta? Stop saying what you don't know.
