It pains me that under all this beautiful hair African women have the same texture no different from mine. It reminds me of how my Chinese friend always envied black women’s hair and the many styles they made in such a short time period. The day she finally saw a black women with due hair ready to enter the hairdressers’ she laughed to her heart’s content and made many jokes regarding the hair. Her jokes ranged from ‘the hair looks like sheep’s wool’ to ‘she looks no different from a wet cat’. She settled on the opinion that the hair looks better hidden under a wig than exposed. |
