Nemesis8u... I'm quite confused why air defense missile systems never played a part in the air tussle. With Ind** recent efforts in that direction, someone would have thought air defense battalions would have taken control of the skies before the air force deployed fighter jets.

Also, why did IAF counter 24 Pak aggressors with a mere 8 interceptors? Its quite confusing i must say, does it indicate laxity on the part of IAF defense architecture in the border region. Moreso, I believe this event would bolster Pakis morale, they would start challenging Ind** aerial dominance from now one.
Air defences r static more or less even if they r on mobile vehicles. Can't have them running around all the time.

Till date Akash is only under production , still many under delivery. Rest systems r under various stages of testing and development.

The enemy watches the movement of mobile sams / presence of static Sam and the pattern of deployment and their coverage area , and avoids those areas. If the target is worth the risk only then will they risk it or try to destroy it on route to target.

Air defence is not deployed everywhere they r mainly for base defence or defence of vital areas or for coverage of likely ingress points. Both sams and home fighters r generally not operated over the same sector , due to risk of blue on blue and discrimination issues even in the presence of IFF on both aircrafts and sams since the reaction time is short. Can't have both active without risks to airborne home team.

Sams have designated air corridors to operate , it means no home fighters can operate in the vicinity. If one fails/shutdown then only the 2nd comes to play generally.

The pa...... had attacked at the place of and time of their choosing so they had the luxury to mass their fighters in the required large numbers in that sector. Attacker always has that luxury. And they selected an area and timed their approach when no fighters was in the sector , since CAPs r always moving around.

The defender is always spread all over , so he can muster only the aircrafts in the vicinity of the effected sector.

On the contrary it's the opposite , Ind... had called off the nuclear bluff of pa......., Now Ind... will hit terrorist targets in pa.... as and when required. It will involve retaliation by other side possibly , but then it's part of the game.

Pa.... has been suffering serious financial losses due to closure of airspace and sea routes.

Also the operational life span of F 16s has been reduced to a large extent due to countless baiting by in..... fighter since the action started.

US is already not supplying spares and stopped others from doing so.

Now they have asked for details on the use of F16s so they r fuccked now even more.

In a boxing fight it is not necessary to retaliate with a counter punch to every punch , dodge and tire the guy out and urself reserve the strength for the right punch at the right time with the right strength

And when it comes to nations war is sometimes a deflection , a red herring for a battering being done somewhere elsewhere eg economy etc remember how Soviet union fell.

Anyways it's my personal opinion , so let's see what future holds

Also there is a 2016 PN video on YouTube where they claimed they had detected a IN submarine.

Compare that video with the one released now by them.

Except the new video has dates / data superimposed on the imagery , otherwise its same.

America has already pressured BAE, RR and other British firms involved in turkeys indigenous 5th gen fighter program to pull out. That’s basically saying if you don’t buy our F-35 we’ll make it difficult for you to develop an alternative. Wtf is wrong with that country seriously.

Anyways empires rise and fall so let’s watch and see

AESA Radar modes mentioned:
1. Air to Air mode: Nose Aspect search and track, All Aspect Search and Track, Radar Assessment (RA), Non-Cooperative Target Recognition (NCTR), Coherent Integration Time (CIT) for slow speed targets (ships).
2. Air to Ground mode: Real Beam Scanning Mode (RBM), Synthetic Aperture Scanning (High and Low Resolution mode)
3. Air to Sea mode
4. Terrain Awareness mode
5. Weather Awareness mode
6. Combined Awareness mode

Electronic Warfare View
1. Digital Radar Warning Receiver with 360 degree coverage
2. Self Protection Jammer Pod (Front & Rear - not 360 degrees but maybe 150 degrees front and rear)
3. Counter Measures Dispensing System (CMDS): auto, semi-automatic, manual modes with counts of flare and chaff dispensed.

Primary Flight Display (PFD)
1. Normal mode display
2. Perspective display gives area coverage of enemy radar and SAM site, new by ARDC. Seems to be the same Radar SAM bubble we saw in the SPORT.
3. High Situational Awareness (HSA): tactical display combining all sensors - Radar, EW, LDP with high resolution digital maps overlay.

Smart Multi-Function Display (SMFD) has its own high end graphics processor reducing load on the Mission Computer (MC). Now MC will just send data to SMFD which will do all the rendering.

Also mentioned as and when new capabilities are available they will be incorporated such as Satellite Navigation, etc.
