I don't know where you're getting the notion that another tribe wants to take over Lagos from the Yourbas. Your leaders are just using the ethnic card on you guys so you keep voting them. Don't forget Jimi is also a Yoruba and even a Lagosian. When people live in a particular place and have lot of investment, they should also have the right as citizens to vote for who they feel is the best for them.
This break down of relationship started during Fashola's second term when he started deporting a certain tribe. If you can remember vividly, there wasn't so much tension about Igbo and Yoruba during Tinubu's tenure until Fashola's second term, and since then, the relationship has further gone South.
is not the same ethnic card the igbos have been using to vote pdp since 1999? now we are using the same card and you guys are complaining. We don wise up now o, the Nationalistic card that we have been using which you guys have used to insult us have now been torn into pieces. Play your card in the east and we play ours here in the west, is that too much to ask for?

Hate to say this but 200 percent certain apc has won Lagos
Otoge Lagos was a stillborn. It was started out of hatred for the Yoruba race and not because of any serious need to change the political leadership in the state. Jimi Agbaje’s resounding defeat today should send a clear message to all the people trying to win elections by deploying divisive tactics in the south west - it doesn’t work.

Uncle Jimi should also retire from politics for good. Lagosians don’t want him and it is very obvious. PDP should also rethink their strategies in Lagos in future elections. Making the election all about Yoruba vs Igbo will always result in massive loss for PDP.

There was a lot of intimidation in my polling unit against non Yorubas (Igbos, Akwa Ibomites /Calabar), they didn't want any non Yoruba to vote until the army showed up before normalcy was restored. I guess when you know your candidates are flawed, you resort to intimidation. Nigeria isn't one and we need to stop pretending we are. Democracy has caused deeper division in the country.
The best way is just to introduce a form of online voting platform instead of this paper ballot that has caused the loss of innocent lives, intimidation, bribery and corruption.... That's if the country doesn't wanna divide peacefully.
U r absolutely right......online voting we shd clamour for.

And you think it is a good thing to starve an entire state if fundinghuh May your type get what is coming for you!

Naijaguy123:
We need to win all the south south states so as to starve PDP of fundings, we don't need to win any state in the east so we can have opposition from the Igbo and that way we can share their ministerial slot .

This APC victory go pain some people no be small.

I have said it here but some people are insult me. Igbo need to redefine their involvement in Lagos politics to avoid avoidable disaster. Yes, everybody has right to vote and be voted for in a place of residence but politics involve religion, culture and believe of people. This is exactly what colonial master did on arriving Africa which was resisted before they finally won the battle. Igbo have proved beyond doubt that they have no pact with Yorubas. Before their prefer candidate in whatever disguise will rule Lagos, they will need to defeat Yorubas not only at the poll but also in real battle.

This election has nothing to do with Igbo, is between two Yorubas. So I don't know why you're mentioning Igbos as if they want to take over Lagos State

I have never seen like I saw today before. Soldiers and police snatching ballot box in Rivers.
RIP to democracy. I only blame Jonathan for conceding defeat to a tyrant even when the whole process was characterized with flaws and malpractices.

Take Buhari away from Nigeria's geographical space and watch the nation experience peace and prosperity.
