Unfortunately there are no chutes onboard commercial planes; only life jackets. The plane cabin is highly pressurized and there's no way you can open it from the inside during flight. Also if you somehow managed to open the door and jump out, you'll go unconscious in seconds at that altitude as the oxygen there's minimal. This will lead to sharp death before you body hits the ground. If you somehow miraculously survive that many people have never had a chute training and wouldn't know how to control or land this thing. Forget all the Hollywood make believes - this is real life!

Did she jump outta the plane with the parachute or she just survived after the plane crashed? Maybe people should wear the parachutes as the board the plane. Once the pilot knows the notices any fault while on flight and can tell the chances of safe crash landing is zero , then they should allow people find their way. People wey go die go die and people wey parachutes go save go remain. It's just painful to see all passengers die like that.

There are no parachutes in commercials airplanes.

The pre flight safety instructions are to give one the highest chance of survival if the crash is not catastrophic.

In most non catastrophic crashes, the Pilot senses the danger but is able to avert immediate danger by bringing the plane as close to land or water as possible.

But, when there is total equipment failure, there is virtually nothing anyone can do.

Using a parachute isn't that easy. Just imagine you're on the plane like 33,000 feet above ground and probably above a thick forest or even above sea, you think you will have the courage to out with a parachute? I doubt.

Ethiopian is a STAR Alliance airline and one of the best airlines in the world. The plane that crashed is a brand new plane that is only a few months old from delivery date from Boeing.

Meanwhile, if pilots knew they would crash they wouldn't be on the plane.
There are different types of crashes, most times they just have to seat tight with their belts on while the plane shakes or jerks or whatever. You don't really want to stand up to suit up a parachute, you can't access it because you would not stand, air and pressure will toss you till you get hurt and pass out and that's worse.

This was a young school girl then,he was saved by a good Samaritan when others were taking away properties of dead ones and it is only by God's grace and the richness of her parents that kept her alive till date if not you wont be saying this.

Ethopian Airline is one of the fastest growing in the world and it's safe, even a Bbc reporter said Ethopian Airline is that airline when you have fears, you say i'd fly Ethopian.

Parachutes?
There are no parachutes on commercial planes, only life jacket.
And this plane is a new plane, according to report it has a new development that puts the plane on stall and the pilot has no way to control it, because Boeing didn't inform the airlines about it.
This was said to be the cause of this crash and the Lion Air crash few months ago.
