The Independent National Electoral Commission has explained why it declared the Saturday’s governorship election in Benue State inconclusive.

Announcing the decision on Monday, the Returning Officer, Prof Sebastian Maimako, announced that the number of canceled votes outweighed the number of victory margin.

[url]WWW.IDOMAVOICE.COM[/url] reports that, 790,102 votes were valid, 14,560 votes were rejected while 121,019 votes were cancelled.

Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 410,576 votes while Emmanuel Jime of the All Progressives Congress scored 329,022 votes.

He said a new date would be announced for a rerun within 21 days.

That is assuming a 100% voters turnout happens in the rerun.

However, turnout cannot be more than 50% and if all those people voted for APC (which is impossible), Ortom would still win.

Scamming things

After going through most comments above, one really begins to wonder how a country has such a huge number of ignorant folks and unemployable graduates. For heaven's sake, should INEC bend the law because PDP candidates are leading in a neck-to-neck contest where the number of cancelled votes is greater than the margin of lead? I've not seen any of you attack INEC for declaring the elections in which an APC candidate is leading as inconclusive, as in the case of Plateau. Funny how these same set of ignorant folks will be shouting rule of law when it suits them but would want INEC to go against the law when it doesn't favour them. You're all victims of the damage PDP did to this country by looting the money for your proper education and enlightenment, I'm sorry for you all

Assuming there's 50% turn-out and all votes goes to APC, PDP still wins
The rate of inconclusiveness makes one to believe that there are deliberate plans to disrupt election in some areas which automatically leads to cancellation, and then fix re-run to complete their abracadabra.
