I was talking of majority of Imo Voters (valid votes).

I was responding to the person who said that is what the majority wanted, so we should jettison the 2/3 requirement.

Have you seen that all Imolites are happy that Okoroawusa has been cut down. See highlighted cheesy

sonature1:

I don't know where u come from, but for the fact that thousands of Imo people within and outside the state are happy means something.
It simply means that they want change. You'd better accept the turnout of event and move on. Let the tribunal decide the fate of Ugwumba.

After all, did u not hear that during the last presidential election if u sum up the numbers of valid votes and invalid votes, it exceeds the number of accredited voters?

Yet nobody has taken to the street to protest...they are even asking Atiku not to contest the election in court whereas there are glaring irregularities.

It wasn't as inflated as aboh mbaise...
Shut up, Aboh Mbaise has the highest number of registered and accredited voters. In 2015, we gave our brother over 50k, now we gave him 64k. How is that ur problem?

don't be surprised at our polling unit in ndi-amazu,okigwe LGA,uche nwosu,s party AA was buying votes for #12.000 naira cash if u vote for them,a friend from ideato south said they bought votes there at #20,000 per vote, can u imagine the amount of I'm state money rochas wasted on a white elephant project, all that vote AA got was bought with no less an average of #10,000 per vote.

See how insensitive OkoroHausa has become. The centre can no longer hold anymore. He's a goner.

Pleases learn to read and comprehend. The constitution said 25% in 2/3rd of all states, not 2/3 of all states.
Buhari got 25% votes in 33 states.

I won’t respond u after this. On what grounds should the election be declared inconclusive? Did Ugwumba ur master meet the requirement? How many votes were cancelled and what margin did Emeka use in winning him? What areas will the rerun be contested if this election is declared inconclusive?
The REC didn’t go contrary to what is stipulated if he decided the winner by popular votes cos non of the candidates got 25% in 18 LGA’S.
Stop this propaganda and join the winning train cos aligning with a loser won’t do u any favour.

The REC went contrary to what was stated in the constitution.
This is part 2, section 179(2b)of the 1999 constitution;

(2) A candidate for an election to the office of Governor of a State shall be deemed to have been duly elected where, there being two or more candidates -

(a) he has the highest number of votes cast at the election; and

(b) he has not less than one-quarter of all the votes cast in each of at least two-thirds of all the local government areas in the State.

The constitution specifies a runoff between the two leading candidates.

Just wondering why the bickering on who won or did not. If Okorocha had giving Imo state an inspiring leadership and delivered on the support he got initially, will Imo people have been against him and anything that comes from him? We want a change and we have gotten it. What many people on this platform is missing out is that many factors worked against Nwosu/APC and it would have taken a missive rigging for AA or APC to win. Now that Emeka has won, will he listen to the voice of wisdom and focus on bringing good leadership to Imo state as a whole and leave party politics and over ambition aside. If he messes up and fail to redeem himself and his Mbaise clan, we will gladly show him the way out. For those who don't know, it is not about party, Uzodinma and Ararume have moral issues around them and do not represent what generality of Imo people will accept, therefore their candidature was already a loss to their parties coming from party primaries. Emeka seem the best among the candidates in terms of experience, but time will tell.

Go to court. He has already been returned elected. For those that have little knowledge of Imo State political configuration; what played out dat consummated in PDP Ihedioha victory can be explained out in different ways. First, Imo are politically very conscious people that have overtime learned to guard their vote as they did against Ohakim then to usher in Rochas who deceived them with APGA party . The main point was to ensure that Rochas dynasty was decimated as they all saw d candidate of AA, Uche Nwosu who is Rochas son in law as an extension of Okorocha grip on power. To add salt to d injury Nwosu is from same Orlu zone like his father in law and Orlu zone has had 16yrs at Douglas house (8yrs Achike Udenwa and 8yrs Rochas). Rochas greed and pride coupled with his underperformance was dia4 d vehicle for his downfall. Both Uzodinma and Ararume are seen in d eyes of d public as people of very questionable character and 419ners that are also perceived to belong to d occult world. The APC too taught Okorocha a bigger lesson and with his senatorial seat hanging in d balance, d Iberiberism ambassador will go down very soon just d way Nnamdi Kalu has always warned him that his romance with d Caliphate will be his undoing one day. Just remembered d video of d IPOB man humiliating Rochas in London and u will know that d hatred against d Mr Statues was deep rooted. Ihedioha benefited from all these and being from Owerri zone and having garnered experience as former Deputy Speaker it was easy for a consensus to be built around him. MNK ideology has ensured that no more APC in d entire South East

You just spoilt everything you said by your reference to Nnamdi Kanu. Every sensible person, including APC apologetics knew that Rochas was headed for the rocks with his grandstanding statues, annoying decisions, unguarded utterances and haphazard road projects all over the state.
