I saw the video of the woman visibly angry that despite all the money she has returned, she hasn't been adequately 'rewarded'.
I found the video distasteful. Entitlement mentality is a major problem in this country.
You're supposed to return lost possession, if you don't, and it's discovered, you could lose that your job and/or get prosecuted. 'Rewarding' you for your 'honesty' is discretionary. It's not a sure route to riches.

It is very possible she could have been promised payment and it still hasn't been remitted to her.

I don't think giving her something now is wrong. Every day we see beggars on the street and give them something , even though we're not obliged to do so. The 1k daddyfreeze is pleading for is peanuts to most of us, but it adds up to something big.
