There is need to pray for God's mercies on the people of Nigeria.

If what was published here was all Pastor Moses Alu said on the Iginla saga, there are serious dangers to anyone worshipping under Pastor Alu.

First, pastor Alu holds out Chris Oyakhilome and Benny Hinn as better examples of ministers divorcing their wives.

That is a disaster.

Neither Chris Oyakhilome, who abandoned his wife for more than five years before the divorce, nor Benny Hinn, was an epitome of a good husband.

Pastor Alu should have listened to their wives.


Much more importantly, neither Chris Oyakhilome nor Benny Hinn believes in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible that any man of God would draw anyone's attention to them as people to be emulated or held in honour in a Christian environment. Pastor Alu's inability to see that is a cause for alarm.



Pastor Alu said: "I don't have a problem with your committing sin."


Anyone who fears God would.

Pastor Alu stated the person prophet Iginla offended was his wife. To some extent that is true.


But, according to the Bible, the Real Person Mr Iginla offended, first and foremost, was God.


It is a pity pastor Alu did not see this.




Pastor Alu said prophet Iginla needed counseling. That is not true.

Mr Iginla needs to become a Christian, first; he needs to be born again.

He needs to repent, first of all, of his SIN of lying against the Holy Spirit, whom he never knew at any point in his life, even though he fraudulently held himself out as a minister of God.

Thank you Pastor Moses. You spoke what I have been saying since I watched this movie of prophet Iginla.

That's not scriptural.

Bible permits divorce on the basis of adultery.

Neither Chris, nor Benny had such cases. So using them as benchmark in Joshua's case shows bad sense of judgment/justice.

In addition to the adulteries, the woman started the marriage on deception about her genotype. That alone would be too hard to endure for any man - only for her to add adultery and constant harassment to the mix.

Fact is, even this pastor would divorce under such circumstances.

Here he's just playing holier than thou and making political capital out of Joshua's misfortune.
