The Federal Executive Council has banned Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft from operating in Nigeria. This was announced by the minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika after today's meeting. The FEC has also taken steps to improve safety in Nigeria's airspace. Source: NTA News. |

The NCAA had previously stated that no Boeing 737 Max 8 was registered to fly in Nigeria, but that didn't seem to satisfy Nigerians. In fact, on the thread that I created yesterday, someone claimed that Italian Airways was flying a 737 Max 8 into Nigeria last night. It's necessary for the government to assuage the fears of Nigerians. |
