I prefer darker skin shades to the lighter ones (most of the time).
But I guess those pale skins kinda make her the odd one out...

Such an overly edited picture. Each woman om that cover looks like someone from a war ravaged country undecided

This is the issue many modeks have with these high end magazines, especially the black models. They need them to look darker, look how they darkened Adesua with their nonsense editing. They want to keep the world thinking Africa has no diversity, because only the white woman should be seen as fair skinned, while the entire sub-saharan Africa must be dark.

This is how white people confuse the black race, dem come put the white, blond-haired woman for front as a symbol of what feminine beauty should be and sent the black woman to the back, making sure to edit her skin to be dark enough and dull enough to not outshine their caucasian queen.

what is wrong is the poor representation

If they wanted a dark skin shade, they should have gotten a dark-skinned woman. This thing where white people darken a black woman should not stand. We should all be proud of every shade of black beauty, be you dark or light-skinned.

Let us stop this narrative that black only comes in dark. There are different shades of dark and each must be represented in their full glory. Let us stop allowing white people dictate to us how dark we can be, and worshipping this gross misrepresentation of the black race.

Adesua is light-skinned and it is a travesty that they have darkened her this much to fit on their white people magazine.

Ewatomi isn't brown, she's light skinned. Those racist pigs edited the images just to emphasize the fact that she's black and African. But she won't complain, she's been paid and this gives her publicity.
One of the reasons I respect lupita n'yongo is that one stupid magazine edited her hairstyle once she demanded an apology but no be for Nigeria where most of us are not proud of our heritage

Is it possible they arranged these people according to how big or famous they are in the west?

I think that is how dark Adesua would look next to Caucasians. She might be like Oyibo to us but she is still a black woman.

And she is still looks exotic to me
here. The others kinda look the same.

Youre wrong thats what i was thinking before have you seen a real light Nigerian stand in front of a white man you can't even differentiate the cilour adesuwa colour was uttered even if she stands with a whiteman that is not her colour lets remove the white people from the picture it still don't give adesuwa her real complexion

nothing like that

Adesua is incredibly light next to anyone. Did you not see her next to a caucasian in The Wedding Party 1&2? Was she this dark? She looks darker than I am in these pictures, I wasn't even comparing her to the Caucasian because she was the only one I saw first, mostly cuz she looked too dark

This picture has beem edited heavily, don't waste benefit of doubt on caucasians. Even the dark-skinned models have complained about these industry people making them darker.

They couldn't even make the dark pop, it was just an ugly shade that makes her look dull.

Thank you

I have no doubts that these people would darken Phyno sef, to keep the belief that only them have paleness.

I'm honestly miffed by this misrepresentation, it should be condemened in its entirety, even by Adesua herself.....but then, she should just be glad she is on Vogue, representation doesn't matter.

Thank God for black women like Alek Wek that fight these misrepresentations.

exactly

Lupita called them out, but Adesua will take anything, after all, she hasn't reached Lupita level. Beggars can't be choosers
