Judging by the attire of the ignorant mob watching, this happened in Northern Nigeria.

Not just any northern state like Kaduna or Kano.
This happened where formal education is a taboo, where poverty is a way of life, where human life can be exchanged for promises of virgins, where puberty translates to sexual consent, where religion is a valid excuse for violence...

This happened in one of Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Gombe, Bauchi or Jigawa.
