I am not even arguing the decisions. Aguero was offside it is that simple. But this is not a game where City are absolutely atrocious and use an offside goal to steal a win. From start to finish they were better and on another day should win this game 9-2. For someone to just ignore how well they played to conclude that the ref helped them is the kind of insufferable populist arguments people make on here.

I remember 2011 when Barca beat Arsenal 3-1 and Wenger was whining about an undeserved red card to RVP for hitting the ball after the whistle. Pep's response was " for 90mins, Arsenal could not string 3 passes together". Some made a meme from the stats after that game and still use it to describe the most one-sided 3-1 defeat in UCL history.

City deserved the win. They were better. Had so many chances and looked like they were going to win as soon as B.Silva scored.

Swansea were unlucky because the penalty was soft and Aguero was offside but on the balance of play, City were good for the win.

When United got that ghost penalty against PSG and via it, won the tie. That was an undeserved qualification because PSG had created far more chances and did not deserve to lose by 2golas on the day.
