Dear Nairalanders, On Sunday last week, in the process of restarting my Toshiba Windows 8.1, the power supply went off. Ever since, When there is power and I switch on the PC the first thing that shows is "Automatically repairing the PC" then it goes blank, Diagnosing Your PC comes on, it goes blank again, and the whole process restart again.
This is my first attempt at formating this PC. I have been using it since July 2016.

I need your helps Nairalanders. What could be the problem or the solution?

Note: Any correction would be noted, there are no limits in learning.
Thank you.

When you on the PC, continue pressing the f8 key. If it brings some option for you to choose, select "Use mask known configuration" or something like that. If F8 key didn't work, try f9, f5, f7

Blue screen, faulty hardware configuration

You can reinstall your operating system first before doing that.

well, then how should I go about it, because the system is not displaying anything apart from Preparing PC for automatic repair and diagnosing PC, and then it offs.

Dismantle the PC?

Replace your RAM.
Na was oh,next thing you will tell him you sell PC Ram,he asks for the price and you give him an over bloated price, Nigerians ain't loyal at all.
This has nothing to do with ram, this is not even the blue screen of death, he only needs to repair Mbr,the sudden shut down as caused a system file to be corrupted or missing. I will use cmd or windows disc to correct this. But I will advise the Op to reinstall Windows.

Competent what It's a software problem not hardware, his PC is fine. It was the sudden shutting down that affected the system files.
If you have any sensible thing to say to help him,say it or just shut up.

Is this one alright at all?

Check any of my post on anything about laptop repair where I have ask any one to contact me for repair or sales of anything this year.
Did you even read the problem or you just want to do over sabi?

I told him to replace the RAM because if system shows blue screen asking for repair often anytime you power it on then the RAM is faulty.
Even if you click on repair a number of times it will still go back to the blue screen.

Most times if use the cmd command or windows disc you talk about it will still appear.
Even if you reinstall the operating system.

This is from personal experience, because I'm a laptop engineer and not just one of those that Google or check YouTube for solutions like you.

He ask if there is any other way and I told him to reinstall the operating system first, so what's your problem or have you been looking for a way to get at me?
