Google Announces Stadia, "The Future of Gaming"
Google has launched its own online gaming platform, Google isn’t just launching a new gaming platform with its just-announced streaming service Stadia: it’s also becoming a game developer.

At its GDC 2019 keynote, Google announced Stadia Games and Entertainment, a new first-party games studio that will be creating exclusive games for the new platform. There are few details on the studio itself, such as its size, location, or what titles it’s working on. But it’s being led by Jade Raymond, a longtime producer and executive at both EA and Ubisoft.

While it may be disappointing that we don’t know much about the studio, its sheer existence signals that Google is taking this new venture seriously.

Just because its Google doesn't mean it can't fail. They have many failed projects and OS. Didn't even read the stuff but it sound like what Steam and Discord does, which will be hard to compete with.

Meanwhile in Nigeria we are still fighting with how to generate 2hours electricity in one day.

Google can't compete with Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony in gaming industry.thwybhave never been a major player in gaming and major game developers won't collaborate with them... Google and Facebook's invasion of privacy will haunt the company too,as people no longer trust them
