UPDATE

A problem has been discovered: The engine timing was incorrect, causing the pistons, or something like that, to damage the valves. The valves would have to be replaced.

Re: Volkswagen Passat CC Won't Start by sultaan(m): 12:42am On Mar 19, 2019
How can timing get bad till the valve got smashed it either breaks or skip a tooth first no get out of sync that far.

Did you ignore to mention that someone worked on it?

Car was gotten last year. It must've been worked on by previous owner because the signs were there that someone had clearly worked on it, but nothing was said about this.

Is it belt driven? If it is, it is likely that a belt driven FSI engine was planted there as a replacement for a chain driven TSI engine.
You may snap your engine bay and place here.

Is the engine timing belt or chain driven?

Mehn. I'm really sorry about this demonic problem. It happened to me too and the only solution was a complete engine cleaning before I sold the car. Apparently, this is a factory fault sometimes (according to my investigation). And even the cleaning is not guaranteed to solve the problem. It solved it in mine, thankfully.

The oil pressure error is caused by oil sludge clogging the engine. This problem occurs faster if you use low-quality oil (like Mobil 1). I used only Castrol but the person i bought it from Used Mobil 1.

Anyways, you need to contact a professional car technician and ask for comprehensive scan before you spend any extra money. If the scanner doesn't bring a fault, then the scanner is not for the car.

I managed to solve it in Lagos, and I had already written directions to the place before i saw you were in Calabar. Good luck.
how
Is mobil 1 bad??

Had this issue too at the same time.My timing was incorrect, but it was the mechanic who actually spoilt it when i asked him to check something. I hope they do it well for you.

Wow. That's serious. Permit me to ask, what did you ask him to check?

My oil leaked out onto the road while I was driving because a seal broke where that timing chain is. So i towed the car there and asked them to fix the seal. After they fixed it, i came back days later to find the car wasn't starting ...or wasn't starting well. It kept stopping me on the road. It was a big issue because no one told me about timing, tey kept giving all sorts of excuses until starting up the car became a gamble.
It took a while sha, but I got reputable Passat mechanics at Gbagada who fixed both the oil pressure light and timing for me at the same time. They showed me that the Timing rail had broken (one red plastic under the chain that guides the chain. It looks like the white plastic your handle of your WC hooks into) Car became good as new, but all the trouble it took and the money i spent really pissed me off, so I sold it immediately. Lovely, excellent car, but I won't try it again. grin

Sweet. I'm a big fan of the wheels that come with the CC. Some of the best OEM wheels out there.

Passat is a very lovely car, the problem here in Nigeria is there are few mechanic that understands the mechanism of this lovely ride. Most mechanics are use to japanese cars and would always advice you get on so that you can keep coming to them for their daily 5k,6k repairs. Passat is a car I always look forward to having.

word of advice, you see those hardex, lubex,ex this and that, glife gold, baba those are cheaper synthetic oils and are not advisable to be used for long periods, you risk killing that engines compression and metals if you stretch that oil pass 5k km
