I remember in the 80's and 90's, N5 was a "big" currency as it can buy you a lot. In the 1990s in Afromedia, Lagos, I remember my younger ones were given 10k which they use to buy "adeyoo" (cold drinks made by Ghanians) or "condense" and still had change to spare.

Today, apart from "sweets" and chewing gum, I wonder what N5 can buy.

To me N5 is useless in today Nigeria economy.

With this minimum wage increase and forth coming VAT increase, N5 will disappear, even N20 will buy only one maggi, many things we are buying for N50 will become N100, mark my words
